In recent years, with the popularization of low-carbon and environmental protection concepts, more and more Southeast Asian countries have begun to produce and sell new energy vehicles.

As one of the earliest companies producing new energy vehicles in Myanmar, the Sino-Myanmar joint venture Kaikai Sangda Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is deeply involved in the field of new energy vehicles, and the new energy vehicles launched provide Myanmar people with new options for low-carbon travel.

Kaikai Sunda Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. conformed to the development trend of the automobile industry and produced the first generation of pure electric vehicles in 2020.

Yu Jianchen, general manager of the company, introduced in an interview in Yangon a few days ago that pure electric vehicles drive slowly and often use air conditioners, making it difficult for vehicles to reach the rated mileage.

In addition, due to the lack of charging piles in the local area, the situation of cars breaking down on the way without electricity has occurred from time to time.

After stopping the sale of the first-generation pure electric vehicles, Yu Jianchen invited Chinese engineers to the factory to develop new energy vehicles suitable for the Myanmar market.

After continuous research and polishing, the company launched the second-generation extended-range new energy electric vehicle.

After a period of testing and obtaining relevant approvals, the new product went on sale on March 1.

Yu Jianchen said that the battery on the second-generation car supports 220-volt charging at home, and when the battery voltage is insufficient, it will automatically switch to the fuel generator to generate electricity.

Compared with fuel vehicles, this product has greatly reduced fuel consumption and is very low-carbon and environmentally friendly.

In order to support Myanmar's fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic and benefit local people, the company sells new products at close to cost prices, each equivalent to more than 30,000 yuan.

The launch of the new car attracted the attention of the Myanmar people, and more than 10 vehicles were sold in less than a week.

Dan Ang, who just bought a new energy vehicle, said that because of rising oil prices and commuting costs, he chose to buy a new energy vehicle with a lower cost.

Another leader of new energy vehicles, Dawu, said that the use of cars in urban areas saves fuel costs, the engine noise is low, and it is more environmentally friendly.

Yu Jianchen pointed out that the original intention of producing new energy vehicles was to respond to the Myanmar government's green, low-carbon and environmental protection initiative.

All parts of the vehicle are imported from China and enjoy the Chinese government's export tax rebate policy for new energy vehicle parts.

Yu Jianchen believes that with Myanmar's emphasis on low-carbon environmental protection, new energy vehicles will have better prospects in the future.

To this end, the company has established a new energy vehicle development center and is working hard to expand its business.

"The first batch of second-generation new energy vehicles produced a total of 100 vehicles. We will adjust and improve production according to market feedback." Yu Jianchen said that the company has applied for the Myanmar government's approval for the production of 2,000 new energy vehicles. production will continue.

In the past month, Myanmar has experienced severe power shortages, and intermittent power outages have occurred in many places.

Yu Jianchen said that in the future, the function of electric vehicles to supply power to households may be added.
