We would like to be the little oasis that does not tell you about war, but alas, its consequences are everywhere.
We thus learn that after having announced a very serious slowdown in the pace of the Lada factory, it is now completely at a standstill, and this for an indefinite period.
Initially, the problem was the supply of electrical harnesses fitted to cars, harnesses that Lada usually buys, like many other brands, from a company… Ukrainian.
But this time, it is the international sanctions against Russia that explain the cessation of Lada production.
Indeed, all the suppliers and subcontractors are unable to obtain raw materials to build the various elements of the car.
And besides for customers waiting for their car, this is very bad news for a French brand.
In this case: Renault.
The brand is among the very many companies that have decided to interrupt all activity on Russian soil.
But you may know that Renault also owns more than 60% of AvtoVaz, Lada's parent company.
In total, Renault, Dacia and Lada represent a good third of the Russian car market.
This is likely to weigh heavily on the balance sheet of the French manufacturer…
