Nothing seems to be stopping the run-up in diesel prices.

The main road fuels passed the symbolic bar of 2 euros per liter on average last week in France.

An increase which follows in the wake of the price of crude oil under the pressure of the war in Ukraine, according to official figures published on Monday.

A price of 2.1407 on average

The liter of diesel was thus worth 2.1407 euros on average and that of Super SP 95-E10 2.0286 euros, according to weekly figures from the Ministry of Ecological Transition stopped on Friday.

Professionals, however, observed a significant decline in prices at the pump on Monday.

Help for heavy riders

The Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, announced on Monday that the government was working on targeted measures to help the most modest households who are obliged to use their vehicle regularly.

"I am working at the request of the Prime Minister on devices targeted at people with the lowest incomes, who use their vehicle because they have no alternative solution, and who are heavy riders", indicated the minister in front of the automotive industry at an event in Paris.
