With Russia's military invasion, Western oil giants have announced that they will withdraw from the oil and natural gas business in the Far East Sakhalin, and there is a growing movement to take a strict stance toward Russia in the energy field.

Masataka Fujiwara, president of Osaka Gas, which imports 4% of all LNG from Russia, said at a press conference on the 10th, "We want to keep an eye on the government's policies and the movements of our business partners, not just one company that can make a decision. From the perspective of a stable supply of gas, he stated that he would continue to import for the time being.

On top of that, President Fujiwara said, "If we can no longer import from Russia, we will consider measures such as bringing in LNG from other countries, but there are not many options."
