  Pork prices down 42.5% from a year earlier

  Dong Lijuan, senior statistician of the City Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, analyzed that in February, the CPI rose by 0.6% month-on-month, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, mainly due to the combined influence of the Spring Festival and international energy price fluctuations; month flat.

  Affected by the Spring Festival, in February, the prices of fresh vegetables, fresh fruits and aquatic products rose by 6.0%, 3.0% and 4.8% respectively from the previous month.

Due to sufficient supply, the price of pork continued to drop by 4.6% from the previous month and 42.5% from the same period last year, and the decline increased by 0.9 percentage points from the previous month.

  Non-food prices rose as a whole, up 0.4% month-on-month, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from the previous month; and a year-on-year increase of 2.1%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month.

  Affected by the increase in international energy prices, the prices of industrial consumer goods increased by 0.8% month-on-month from the same level in the previous month, up 3.1% year-on-year, and the increase was 0.6 percentage points higher than the previous month.

Among them, the prices of gasoline and diesel increased by 6.2% and 6.7% respectively from the previous month, and increased by 23.9% and 26.3% respectively from the same period of last year, and the increase was expanded from the previous month.

  The price of services was driven by the local Chinese New Year, and the increase fell slightly.

On the one hand, the local New Year’s Eve led to an increase in entertainment consumption and outings. The price of movie and performance tickets rose by 9.3% month-on-month, and the price of other accommodation such as homestays increased by 2.2% month-on-month; on the other hand, with the decrease in travel, air tickets and tourism The price increases were all down from the previous month.

In addition, after the holiday, migrant workers returned to the city one after another, and the prices of housekeeping services and maternal and child care services dropped by 6.8% and 1.9% month-on-month respectively.

  According to estimates, in the year-on-year increase of 0.9% in February, the impact of last year's price changes was about -0.1 percentage points, and the impact of new price increases was about 1.0 percentage points.

The core CPI, excluding food and energy prices, rose by 1.1 percent year-on-year, a decrease of 0.1 percentage point from the previous month.

  Coal supply increases, coal prices continue to fall

  Dong Lijuan analyzed that due to factors such as rising prices of international bulk commodities such as crude oil and non-ferrous metals, the PPI in February changed from a decrease of 0.2% in the previous month to an increase of 0.5%; In June last year (up 8.8% year-on-year) the PPI was flat before a series of gains.

  From the perspective of the two factors that affect the price of production materials and the price of living materials, the price increase of production materials is still the main driving factor. In February, the price of production materials changed from a month-on-month decrease of 0.2% to an increase of 0.7%, a year-on-year increase of 11.4%, an increase of 11.4%. Back down slightly.

  The sharp rise in international crude oil prices drove up the prices of domestic oil-related industries. Among them, the price of oil extraction increased by 13.5% month-on-month, and the manufacturing price of refined petroleum products increased by 6.5% month-on-month.

The price of the oil and natural gas extraction industry rose by 41.9% year-on-year, an increase of 3.7 percentage points; the oil, coal and other fuel processing industry rose by 30.2% year-on-year, an increase of 0.1 percentage point; the electricity and heat production and supply industry increased by 8.5%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points.

  Coal prices have continued to fall since last year as coal supplies increase.

In February, the prices of coal mining, washing, and coal processing all dropped by 2.4% month-on-month.

The price of coal mining and washing industry increased by 45.4% year-on-year, a decrease of 5.9 percentage points.

  According to estimates, in the year-on-year increase of 8.8% in February, the impact of last year's price changes was about 8.4 percentage points, and the impact of new price increases was about 0.4 percentage points.
