Major companies move to forgo business in Russia With a series of economic sanctions

Following the imposition of economic sanctions on Russia over the military invasion of Ukraine, large companies are moving to forgo business in Russia.

Sony Group

Among them, Sony Group announced that it has stopped shipping the game console "PlayStation" and software to Russia, and also stopped operating an online store for Russia.

The Sony Group has also stopped releasing new movies in Russia.

Hitachi, Ltd.

Hitachi, Ltd. announced that it will suspend the manufacture and sale of construction machinery in Russia by the group Hitachi Construction Machinery for the time being, as well as the export of storage devices for storing data by another subsidiary.

Shiseido

Shiseido, a major cosmetics company, also announced that it will stop exporting cosmetics to Russian distributors.

Advertisements such as TV commercials and magazines through local subsidiaries will also be cancelled.
