Israeli military justice condemned the Franco-Palestinian lawyer Salah Hamouri.

He received a four-month prison sentence.

She believes that he “

threatens the security of the region

”.

Last October, Israel had already revoked its status as a resident of Jerusalem.

The Quai d'Orsay had indicated, at that time, to be fully mobilized to prevent his expulsion.

Salah Hamouri against Israel is the fight of David against Goliath.

Born to a French mother and a Palestinian father

, this 36-year-old lawyer has been accused for years by the Jewish state of being a member of the PFLP.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine is a Marxist organization.

With an armed wing, it is considered “terrorist” by Israel and the European Union.

President Macron arrested

Salah Hamouri, a fervent defender of Palestinian rights, had already been imprisoned between 2005 and 2011 for participating in the attempted assassination of an Israeli religious and political leader.

This time, he is sentenced to four months of administrative detention, that is to say a conviction without charge, and without a real trial.

This measure is highly criticized.

It allows Israeli military justice to incarcerate suspects for up to six months, renewable indefinitely and often without charge.

On Twitter, Salah Hamouri's support committee challenges the French president: "

Mr.

Macron, your responsibility is directly in question

: what are you doing for this persecuted and arbitrarily detained French citizen

 ".
