China News Service, Wuhan, March 9th (Pan Qingfang, Xie Jing, Ma Zhongquan) Cards are issued in 5 seconds, payment is made in 30 seconds, and the whole process is unattended.

The first batch of intelligent toll collection robots at the entrance and exit of Hubei Expressway have recently started trial operation at the Huangshi Toll Station of the Edong Bridge of China Merchants Highway.

It is reported that through the integration and application of new technologies such as cloud, big data and AI, the toll robot realizes self-service card issuance, self-service payment and automatic processing of special circumstances, and improves the traffic efficiency and labor cost of the mixed lane of the toll station.

According to the person in charge of the Huangshi Toll Station, the entrance robot supports self-service card issuance for all models. In addition to supporting the traditional "button card retrieval", it also supports "automatic induction card spit" and "voice card retrieval".

The export robot supports ETC, CPC, paper coupons and other passing media, and can use WeChat, Alipay, cloud flash payment and other methods to make self-service payment.

When there are special situations such as temporary license plates and no entrance information, drivers can get help through human-machine intercom self-guided and remote customer service platforms to deal with transaction problems.

According to the feedback from the trial operation of the Huangshi Toll Station, compared with the manual lane, the robot's card issuance efficiency at the entrance can be increased by 10%, and the average toll time per vehicle at the exit can be reduced by 2 to 3 seconds.

The mechanical labor of the toll collectors is reduced. Under the same staffing configuration, the manpower is released to increase the toll station's ability to manage special events such as green traffic and over-limited vehicles.

It is reported that two tolling robot intelligent devices are being installed in an orderly manner in the lanes of Zhongxiangdong Toll Station. After equipment debugging, it is expected to enter the real vehicle testing stage in mid-March.

In recent years, the Hubei Provincial Department of Transportation has promoted the development of intelligent transportation, supporting and encouraging expressway business units to develop intelligent management services for expressway bridges and toll stations.

The introduction of intelligent toll robots this time provides a basic guarantee for the next step in the construction of intelligent toll lanes at expressway toll stations in Hubei Province.
