America threatens Chinese companies that violate sanctions against Russia

US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said in an interview with The New York Times that Chinese companies that defy US restrictions on exporting to Russia could be denied the US equipment and software they need to make their products.

Raimondo said in the interview published on Tuesday that the United States could "virtually shut down" the international semiconductor maker or any Chinese companies that defy US sanctions by continuing to supply chips and other advanced technology to Russia.
