Emarat plans to open 20 new economic stations in 2022

The Emirates General Petroleum Corporation "Emarat" inaugurated the first economical service station for the distribution of fuel "Ai2" type in Ajman yesterday.

In statements to "Emirates Today" yesterday, on the sidelines of the launch of the new station, she indicated that she plans to open a new station of this type, soon in Sharjah, while she intends to open more than 20 economic service stations during the current year, pointing out that this type of service is from Stations are easy to set up in residential areas compared to traditional ones with their small area.

The Director General of the Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, said that the corporation opened the first economic service station of the type (I2) yesterday in the Rumaila area in Ajman, pointing out that "the economic service stations were designed with the aim of meeting the requirements of customers through Giving them the opportunity to refuel in the neighborhoods in which they live, as, with the support of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, eight economic service stations will be opened in the coming months.”

He explained that «economic stations depend on the principle of choosing strategic locations to supply vehicles with fuel through small spaces compared to traditional stations, in addition to providing a small shop», pointing out that «Emarat» plans to open more than 20 new economic service stations this year.

He added that "Emarat" has adopted two models of designing economical service stations to suit different locations and communities.

The construction of such stations takes a short period not exceeding three months, as it depends on the use of prefabricated units, which can be easily installed and dismantled, and this method of construction provides great flexibility for temporary installations.

Faris Saleh Bukhalaf, director of retail stations in Emarat, confirmed that "these types of stations are characterized by ease and speed of construction compared to traditional ones," pointing out that "a similar station is expected to open in the near future in Sharjah, in addition to another in the northern emirates."
