It is reported by TASS with reference to the auction data.

As previously noted in the Russian Foreign Ministry, the rapid growth of gas prices in the European market will be an inevitable consequence of the abandonment of Nord Stream 2.

According to Aleksey Grivach, Deputy General Director for Gas Problems of the National Energy Security Fund, the rise in prices is due to the market's nervousness about possible interruptions.

He stressed that the normalization of gas prices in the coming months "should not be expected."
