The country has also started to reduce the burden of childcare by popularizing products and services called "Baby Tech" that support childcare with the power of technology.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, in collaboration with Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, has been promoting a "Baby Tech" demonstration project for families with babies since January.

Of these, bed lights that utilize AI = artificial intelligence are rented out to 20 households.

AI analyzes the baby's crying and classifies it into five emotions such as "hungry" and "sleepy", and has a function to guess the reason for crying.

Mari Takimoto, who uses this light for her second son, who is seven months old, said, "I didn't understand why I was crying, but I was able to relax. Since I have two children, digital technology I want to use it as one of the support for childcare. "

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry aims to grow Baby Tech as an industry and reduce the burden of childcare.

By creating an environment where it is easy to balance work and childcare, we would like to increase the number of women who continue to work and strengthen the competitiveness of the industry.

After analyzing the needs of users through the demonstration project by the end of this month, we will consider supporting the baby tech industry.
