An exhibition of the latest EVs = electric vehicles developed by domestic and foreign manufacturers is being held in Tokyo.

A prototype car of the Sony Group, which announced a partnership with Honda on the 4th, was also exhibited and attracted attention.

At the venue in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, a total of 20 EVs developed by Toyota Motor Corporation and Tesla are on display.

The Sony Group, which announced a partnership with Honda on the 4th, has unveiled the EV of a newly prototyped SUV = multipurpose sports vehicle for the first time in Japan.

The driver's seat is integrated with the speaker so that you can enjoy music while driving, and five displays are placed on the front.

Forty sensors were installed inside and outside the car, and even when it was raining and the visibility was poor, clear images could be displayed on the display and obstacles in the distance could be detected quickly, attracting the attention of visitors.

In addition, new models introduced by Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. and EVs of Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd. of South Korea, which will enter the Japanese market for the first time in 13 years, are also on display at the venue.

According to industry groups, EVs sold in Japan last year accounted for only 0.9% of passenger cars excluding mini vehicles, and the challenge is to increase their market share against the backdrop of heightened environmental awareness.

A man in his thirties who visited said, "Because there are few parts in EV, the interior and exterior are refreshing and I got a good impression, so I would like to make EV an option when replacing."
