Go to the mountains where Nasser Al-Attiyah, quadruple winner of the Dakar, has offered himself a domain of a few hectares.

He has traced a few circuits in the gravel and the earth, perfect for training in rally driving.

This is where we were able to drive a few machines stamped Gazoo Racing (sports branch of Toyota), and/or appreciate them as a passenger of drivers who know the places and the cars perfectly.

Crescendo

Toyota has done things really well, with a program going crescendo.

First a short tour in the brilliant "normal" GR Yaris (a 260 hp city car anyway), then in its version prepared for the rallies of the Iberian Cup championship, in which the reactions and sensations are really increased tenfold.

Then, same car, but passenger seat, the steering wheel being held by a real driver of the said championship, who shows us what a "special" pace is.

It shakes!

And yet, it's not the craziest part of the day.

Indeed, the apotheosis were the three short laps of this rally-raid style circuit, strapped into the right seat of the real GR Hilux DKR of the Dakar, piloted by Nasser Al-Attiyah himself.

Clearly not tired of his super-powered toy, this 51-year-old Qatari brat really enjoyed pleasing us, constantly making sure we endured the jumps, blind turns and skidding hairpins.

Yes, we supported, and it was even one of the most fun experiences of our career.

When are we starting again?
