Beijing's GDP hits the biggest growth in five years

  The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics and the Beijing Survey Team of the National Bureau of Statistics released the "Beijing 2021 National Economic and Social Development Statistical Bulletin" yesterday.

According to preliminary calculations, Beijing will achieve a regional GDP of 4,026.96 billion yuan in 2021, breaking the 4 trillion yuan mark.

This is another breakthrough in Beijing's GDP after surpassing the 3 trillion yuan mark in 2018.

Calculated by the resident population, the city's per capita GDP is 184,000 yuan.

  Data show that last year, the added value of the primary industry in Beijing was 11.13 billion yuan, an increase of 2.7%; the added value of the secondary industry was 726.86 billion yuan, an increase of 23.2%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 3,288.96 billion yuan, an increase of 5.7%.

The composition of the three industries is 0.3:18.0:81.7.

Calculated at constant prices, Beijing's GDP rose 8.5 percent last year over the previous year, the largest increase in the past five years.

From 2017 to 2021, the growth rate of Beijing's GDP will be 6.8%, 6.7%, 6.1%, 1.1%, and 8.5%, respectively.

  The "Communiqué" shows that by the end of 2021, the permanent population of Beijing was 21.886 million, a decrease of 4,000 from the end of the previous year.

Among them, the urban population is 19.161 million, accounting for 87.5% of the permanent population; the permanent resident migrant population is 8.348 million, accounting for 38.1% of the permanent population.

  Among the permanent residents of Beijing at the end of 2021, there are 11.177 million males, accounting for 51.1%, and 10.709 million females, accounting for 48.9%.

Grouped by age: 2.647 million people aged 0-14, accounting for 12.1%; 14.823 million people aged 15-59, accounting for 67.7%; 4.416 million people aged 60 and above, accounting for 20.2%, of which 3.116 million were aged 65 and above people, accounting for 14.2%.

A reporter from Beijing Youth Daily noticed that from the perspective of the age structure of the population, the proportion of the population over 60 years old in Beijing exceeded the 20% integer mark, which was higher than the national average of 18.9%.

The proportion of elderly people over the age of 65 in Beijing is consistent with the national average, at 14.2%.

  Last year, the birth rate of the permanent population in Beijing was 6.35‰, lower than the national average of 7.52‰; the death rate was 5.39‰, which was also lower than the national average of 7.18‰; the natural growth rate was 0.96‰, significantly higher than the national average of 0.34‰.

  The "Communiqué" shows that in 2021, the sales area of ​​commercial housing in Beijing will be 11.071 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 14%, of which the residential sales area will be 8.771 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 19.6%.

As of the end of last year, the area of ​​commercial housing for sale in Beijing was 23.963 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 2.4%, of which the residential area for sale was 8.308 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 5.8%.

  Data show that Beijing's real estate development investment in 2021 will increase by 5.1% over the previous year.

Among them, residential investment increased by 8.9%, office building investment decreased by 7.6%, and commercial business building investment decreased by 13.7%.

  The city's housing construction area was 140.553 million square meters, an increase of 1.0% over the previous year.

Among them, value-added tax was 174.29 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4%; corporate income tax was 139.51 billion yuan, an increase of 18.0%; personal income tax was 74.33 billion yuan, an increase of 21.5%.

Last year, the city's general public budget expenditure was 720.51 billion yuan, an increase of 1.2%.

  As of the end of last year, the balance of domestic and foreign currency deposits in financial institutions (including foreign capital) in Beijing was 19974.15 billion yuan, an increase of 1165.99 billion yuan over the beginning of the year.

Among them, household deposits were 4,874.43 billion yuan, an increase of 425.82 billion yuan over the beginning of the year.

At the end of last year, the city's financial institutions (including foreign capital) had 8,903.29 billion yuan of domestic and foreign currency loans, an increase of 472.41 billion yuan over the beginning of the year.

Among them, household consumption loans were 1,753.05 billion yuan, an increase of 117.77 billion yuan over the beginning of the year.

Last year, the original insurance premium income was 252.69 billion yuan, an increase of 16.9% over the previous year.

Among them, the property insurance premium income was 44.35 billion yuan, and the life insurance premium income was 208.34 billion yuan.

Throughout the year, various types of insurance compensation expenses were 83.85 billion yuan, an increase of 13.6%.

Among them, property insurance paid 27.07 billion yuan, and life insurance paid 56.78 billion yuan.
