Despite the new “restrictions linked to the geopolitical situation” in Ukraine, Nice airport will go up a level for the high season.

With at least 106 destinations on offer, “the vigor of the summer program marks a new step towards a return to normal”, close to the pre-pandemic period, points out Franck Goldnadel, chairman of the management board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.

And terminal 1 of the airport will reopen its doors for the occasion from March 27.

“In detail, 52 companies will serve 41 countries: 31 in Europe, three in the Maghreb, two in North America and five in the Middle East or in the Gulf.

For the record, in the summer of 2019, Nice Côte d'Azur airport offered a network of 121 destinations to 44 countries,” the platform detailed on Wednesday.

Eight direct long-haul connections

Last summer, when Covid-19 restrictions were stronger around the world, Nice airport offered 90 destinations in 37 countries and new international prospects, to New York and Dubai.

“Long-haul flights are making a comeback this year, with 8 direct connections” and with 380,000 seats on offer, said a press release.

The Côte d'Azur will thus be connected to Montreal, New York JFK and Newark, but also Bahrain, Kuwait and Dubai.
