The Dubai International Financial Center launches a license to attract artificial intelligence companies and programmers

The Dubai International Financial Center announced the launch of a unique license for companies working in the field of artificial intelligence and programmers, in cooperation with the Office of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications in the UAE government.


License Objectives

The new license, the first of its kind in the UAE, aims to contribute to the implementation of the axes and objectives of the UAE Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031, which aims to enhance the UAE's reputation in this field by attracting companies specialized in artificial intelligence and programmers from all over the world.


The companies holding the license will be able to work within a stimulating environment at the Innovation Hub of the Dubai International Financial Center, which is the largest gathering of financial technology and innovation companies in the region, and hosts more than 500 companies specialized in the field of technology and innovation ranging from start-ups to others, among others. The most prominent global companies in this field, which constitutes more than 60% of the total number of financial technology companies in the GCC region.

The license also provides an opportunity to obtain golden residency visas for employees working in those companies.

Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, stressed that the UAE government is adopting accelerating digital transformation and consolidating the UAE’s position as an attractive and incubating environment for creating solutions based on artificial intelligence, embodying the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy The President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, by employing future technology and software, in finding digital solutions to challenges to enhance the country’s leadership and improve people’s lives.

He said that supporting digital transformation processes through developing digital activities and providing innovative solutions contributes to improving the performance of governments and improving the lives of societies, noting that the launch of the artificial intelligence and programming license enhances the country's endeavors to become a leading global destination for future sectors, by adopting advanced technologies. Stimulating innovation in various fields.

He referred to the Dubai International Financial Center initiative, which opens new horizons for international companies looking to enhance their business in various areas of artificial intelligence.
