Launched last year, the Kia EV6 symbolizes the renewal of the brand which is logically moving towards electrification.

Based on a new E-GMP electric platform developed by the Hyundai-Kia group, the EV6 is the first model of this new era.

This dynamic crossover won over the members of the jury of the prestigious “Car of the Year” competition, who appreciated its interesting performance, its fast charging made possible by its 800V architecture, and its inspired design.

Available in 2 or 4 wheel drive versions, the Kia develops from 167 to 575 hp.

Elected with a total of 279 points, it won ahead of the Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric (265 points) and its cousin Hyundai Ioniq 5 (261 points).

For the record, it is the first car from a Korean manufacturer to receive this award.

It is not on the other hand that the title goes to an electric car, since the Jaguar i-Pace had won it in 2019.
