The G7 = Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' Meeting of the Seven Major Countries will be held online on the night of the 1st of Japan time over the situation in Ukraine so that the effects of economic sanctions on Russia, which continues to invade the military, will be maximized. We agreed to continue cooperation and take further action promptly in the future.

The G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governor's meeting was held online for nearly three hours from about 8:30 pm on the 1st of Japan time, and was attended by Finance Minister Suzuki and Governor Kuroda of the Bank of Japan from Japan.



Among them, it was confirmed that the strict sanctions that Japan and Western countries have aligned, such as freezing the assets held by the Central Bank of Russia, have had a great impact.



On top of that, the G7 agreed to continue to work together to maximize the effects of sanctions and to take further action promptly in the future.



At the beginning of the meeting, Ukraine's Finance Minister Marchenko also participated, thanking the G7 countries for their economic support and confirming solidarity with the Ukrainian government and the people.
