is a friendly economic time.

Reporter Han Ji-yeon is also here today (the 1st).

Today, let's talk about the Youth Hope Savings Savings in detail.

Since this is a bit popular, we started accepting applications from last week, but it started with 5 subtitles.

However, it is said that there were quite a few people, but it was from yesterday.

This week, the 5th sub-title has been released, so anyone can apply. How is the situation now?

<Reporter>

There was a slight delay at Shinhan Bank yesterday morning, but overall, there were no obstacles due to the runaway that we were concerned about.

Last week, we had a five-part system, but 1.9 million people signed up through the five major banks alone, so it was five times more crowded than the government expected.

The deadline is the 4th of this month, but today is March 1st, so you can do it by this Friday.

If you want to use the window, you can do it from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, and you can use the app until 6:00 pm.

The financial authorities are only accepting applications until this week, and they plan to look at the demand for subscriptions and consider whether to do additional business.

Among those who haven't signed up yet, I'm sure there are some people who are thinking about joining me too.

<Reporter>

Yes, the total salary must be less than 36 million won. The total salary is based on 2020, that is, the income must be met based on the previous year to join.

However, a lot of people ask me if I can't join the people who got a job last year and meet the conditions for the total salary.

But I can't sign up.

Last year's income is confirmed in July of this year, so we used the income of the previous year as the basis, because the government set the subscription deadline to the 4th of the next month for fear of running out of budget.

If the budget was generous, last year's income would have been included.

So, what if your income in 2020 met the criteria, but your income increased last year?

You can sign up for this.

If you pour until maturity, a savings incentive is also paid, but you cannot receive tax-free benefits.

Also, money earned through a part-time job such as tutoring does not apply because it is not possible to prove the amount of income through the National Tax Service.

Salaries of members of the Armed Forces are not included in taxable gross salaries.

So, based on last year's standards, anyone with a total salary of less than 36 million won can join this program.

<Reporter>

Yes, there are two conditions, but there are only two criteria: age and income.

Assets are excluded, so even gold spoons with rich parents can apply.

For example, a child of a wealthy 10 billion won earns less than 36 million won, or even if he owns a building in Gangnam, if the rental income is less than 26 million won, he or she can join.

However, there is an indirect device to filter out these 'rich youth'.

If the combined income of interest and dividends exceeds 20 million won at least once within the previous three years, you cannot join.

Another complaint is that the threshold for income conditions is high. If you deduct taxes from your annual income of 36 million won, you get about 2.64 million won a month.

Last year, the average wage of a wage earner was around 2.73 million won, but even if they receive 2.7 million won, which is less than this average, they are excluded.

There are many opinions about easing the income standard and creating a new asset standard, but the government has not yet considered it.

<Anchor> The

government is not considering it.

However, although policies cannot satisfy everyone, it seems that the government needs to listen to the voices of dissatisfaction and issues raised about equity.

Besides this, foreigners can also join, so the young people are also dissatisfied with this?

<Reporter>

Yes, there are sayings like, “Why do I have to take responsibility for the tax I paid even for young foreigners?” The complaints among young people are growing to the extent that related information is posted in the Blue House public petition.

According to the content posted on the 24th, young people who actually paid taxes are not receiving support, but they appealed whether there is a tax to take care of foreign youth, and so far 13,000 people have agreed.

In fact, if you look at the membership requirements, foreigners who have lived in Korea for more than 183 days and provide proof of income can join as long as they meet the requirements for age and total salary.

In response to this controversy, the government disclosed the proportion of foreigners who signed up yesterday, but said that the proportion of foreigners who signed up last week was around 0.05% of the total.

It means low.

However, due to the failure of demand forecasting in the first place, words such as 'it's an early deadline' and 'it's a first-come-first-served basis' came out, creating anxiety.
