Audi models with V6 diesel engines up to 210 kW (286 hp) leaving the brand's factories from mid-February will be able to refuel with HVO fuel.

This sustainable fuel made from waste such as used cooking oils from the food industry, or residues from agriculture, reduces CO2 emissions by 70 to 95% compared to fossil diesel.

Another advantage of HVO is its significantly higher cetane number, which means more efficient and cleaner combustion compared to conventional diesel.

In addition, HVO has been homologated in Europe for the 4-cylinder diesel engines of Audi A3, Q2 and Q3 built since June 2021. Finally, the A4, A5, A6, A7 and Q5 have also been compatible with the HVO system since the middle last year in Sweden, Denmark and Italy.

Wouldn't the diesel have said its last word?
