Even if you order the same food from the same restaurant, the delivery cost varies by more than 5,000 won depending on which delivery app you use.

The Korea Association of Consumer Organizations surveyed and announced the delivery cost by delivery platform.

At lunchtime on weekends, I ordered chicken and tteokbokki from a major delivery app.

Delivery charges ranged up to 5,500 won.

When ordering tteokbokki from a distance of 2 to 3 km from Jungnang-gu, Seoul, Baemin 1, which delivers single meals, was the most expensive at 7,500 won, Coupang Eats 6,000 won and Yogiyo 2,000 won.

If the delivery distance is less than 3 km, most apps set the delivery fee at 3,000 won, but if it exceeds 3 km, Baemin 1 and Coupang Eats are 6,000 won, Yogiyo is 5,000 won, and Baedal Minjok is 2,000 won to 5,500 won. It varied from circle to circle.

Although the government came up with measures such as disclosure of delivery fees belatedly to catch the soaring delivery costs, it is pointed out that it will be difficult to achieve an effect because the standards for calculating delivery costs are different and not transparently disclosed.
