The ship lock of the Three Gorges South Line and the No. 3 ship lock of Gezhouba began to be suspended for maintenance simultaneously on February 21, with a construction period of 30 days.

During the maintenance period, the ship locks and ship lifts of the Three Gorges North Line and the No. 1 and No. 2 ship locks of Gezhouba were operated in a matched manner.

In order to ensure the safe and orderly navigation of the main line of the Yangtze River, the navigation department effectively controls the number of ships waiting to lock in the river section of the Three Gorges Project near the dam, and reasonably arranges the ships passing the dam to anchor in an orderly manner along the way.

At present, ships are waiting in an orderly manner in the river section of the Three Gorges Hub, and the North Three Gorges Ship Lock, Three Gorges Ship Lift and Gezhouba No. 1 and No. 2 ship locks are operating normally.
