The European Union has banned a number of transactions with Russian securities

This is reported in the official journal of the EU.

“It is prohibited to directly or indirectly buy, sell ... or otherwise deal in transferable securities ... issued after March 9, 2022,” the document says.

Earlier, the restrictions of the European Union for the recognition of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics by Russia came into force, a list of defendants was made public.

Prior to this, the European Union officially adopted sanctions for Russia's recognition of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.

In particular, 351 State Duma deputies fell under the sanctions.
