According to the expert, it is difficult to predict the exchange rate of the dollar and the euro in today's environment.

According to him, at present the dollar is not in the economic, but "in the geopolitical phase", so the exchange rate will continue to depend on the geopolitical situation in the world.

“The dollar always reacts to such geopolitical surges.

This is not a change in the economic situation at all, this is not an increase or decrease in GDP, not income dynamics, not inflation,” Ostapkovich said.

He also expressed confidence that the ruble would soon “beat back its positions” and “win back a little from the dollar.”

The ratio between the dollar and the euro will not change, the exchange rate of both currencies will be approximately the same, the specialist believes.

Earlier today, on February 24, it was reported that the Moscow Exchange had suspended trading.
