Dubai Maritime City upgrades its infrastructure with 140 million dirhams

Dubai Maritime City, a subsidiary of DB World, announced the launch of a project to modernize its infrastructure, with investments of 140 million dirhams, in confirmation of the economic group’s commitment to providing the finest road services and facilities to its customers, serving the modern business community, and enhancing its capabilities as a multi-use navigation center. and consolidating Dubai's position as a major global maritime destination.

The infrastructure modernization project will include: a deep sewage network, and another for rainwater drainage, supported by a pumping station linked to an underground reinforced concrete tank, linked to a control room, and pumps with a capacity of 300 liters per second, in addition to networks for distributing potable water, irrigation and firefighting.

The comprehensive project also includes extensions of communication lines and the road network.



The length of the sewage network pipes is six kilometers, equipped with about 150 surface openings and connection rooms, while the rainwater pumping station includes 70 surface rooms and 300 drainage holes through the streets, with a length of eight kilometers.


The project also includes providing the firefighting and irrigation networks with a joint pumping station, consisting of a ground tank with a capacity of 460 square meters for the firefighting network, and 1,240 square meters for the irrigation network.

The firefighting network includes 38 water outlets and 5.5 kilometers of pipelines.

In turn, the irrigation tank supports 39 valves and six kilometers of pipelines.

The length of the drinking water network pipes is six kilometers, while the length of communication lines is 10 kilometers, and the total length of the streets and road network is seven kilometers.

The Dubai Maritime City infrastructure project will be integrated with "Port Rashid", which includes the "Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel", the facilities of "B&O Marinas" specialized in operating yacht marinas and luxury harbours, and the "Marina Cubes" area.
