This experiment was started by Hitachi, Ltd., which developed the system, in its office on the 22nd.
The user registers his / her face photo and credit card information in advance, turns his / her face to the dedicated screen placed in the sales floor, and confirms his / her identity by face recognition.
After that, if you pick up the product placed on the shelf and leave the sales floor as it is, it will be automatically settled, so you can shop in a short time without having a wallet and using the payment function of your smartphone. ..
Multiple sensors attached to the ceiling and shelves of the sales floor detect the movement of people and the weight of the product, instantly grasp what was sold and how many, and return the product once picked up by the customer to the shelf. It can be determined even if the customers are shopping at the same time.
In the retail industry, where labor shortages are an issue, the movement to introduce unmanned stores has begun to appear at convenience stores, etc., but this system is characterized by being able to create a sales floor even in a small space of about 1 tatami mat, and the company is experimenting. Based on the results, we are aiming for full-scale introduction to offices and hospitals in the future.
