Six presidential candidates, including Yannick Jadot and Eric Zemmour, have an appointment with representatives of the largest French companies on Monday.

For four hours, the Medef will question them about their economic program, while some denounce a lack of concrete and convincing measures.

It's the day of the big oral for the presidential candidates.

At least for six of them: Valérie Pécresse, Yannick Jadot, Eric Zemmour, Anne Hidalgo, Fabien Roussel and Jean-Luc Mélenchon have an appointment at 9 a.m. with the representatives of the bosses of the largest French companies.

The Medef will question the presidential candidates on their economic programs, while both large and small business leaders denounce a lack of concrete and convincing measures in the programs.

Emmanuel Macron, absent from this meeting

Indeed, whether it is the problem of the aging of the population, European growth or even the economic identity of France, the head of the Medef, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, denounced a few days ago the absence of major economic issues in this presidential campaign.

There will therefore be many questions today for the six candidates.

There remains a great absentee: the head of state.

Not yet officially a candidate, Emmanuel Macron escapes the exercise.

Still, the expectation is high on the side of the employers because it is more than urgent that we have concrete answers and proposals considers at the microphone of Europe 1 Jean-Eudes du Mesnil, of the confederation of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Four hours of very dense exchanges

"The subject of pensions, for example, is very little mentioned in this campaign. Yet it is something essential since we know that we will have to reform the pension system", he recalls.

Other subjects on which the candidates will be questioned, measures to strengthen the competitiveness of companies or the position of France in the face of the American and Chinese economic model.

Four hours of exchanges which already promise to be very dense.
