  The Bishkek Municipal Road Network Reconstruction Project was funded by the Chinese government and undertaken by Chinese companies such as China Road and Bridge Corporation. The first phase of the project was launched in October 2016.

Uzbayev said that the first phase of the project has been completed in 2020, and a total of 49 streets have been renovated with a total mileage of 95.4 kilometers.

  It is reported that the second phase of the Bishkek Municipal Road Network Reconstruction Project has been launched in October 2020. It is planned to renovate a total of 60 streets with a total mileage of more than 70 kilometers. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.

Uzbayev said that the second phase of the project is currently being implemented smoothly.

  Uzbayev said that in addition to the Bishkek municipal road network reconstruction project, in fact, the Chinese side has helped Bishkek city to carry out road reconstruction work since the beginning of this century, and the Chinese side helped the local implementation in 2001.
