In Vendée, a business manager decided to surprise his employees.

Jean-Yves Glumineau has seen his company specializing in insulating glass evolve and multiply its turnover by five since its acquisition 18 years ago.

The man, who is selling the company, has decided to donate the money to his 150 employees.

A total of... 2.68 million euros.

He confides in the microphone of Europe 1.

It is a beautiful story that puts balm to the heart.

Jean-Yves Glumineau is the owner of TIV, a manufacturer specializing in insulating glazing in Vendée, which has 150 employees.

On Wednesday, December 15, the manager made a big announcement to his employees: he is selling his company after 18 years of good and loyal service.

And to thank him, he decided to pay them … 2.68 million in the form of a bonus.

The story of a success story for Jean-Yves Glumineau, who has multiplied his turnover by 5 in nearly 20 years.

"It's been driving me for a long time," reacted to the microphone of Europe 1 the business manager this Friday.

"I had told my management team on the day I handed over, I would leave a significant portion of the sale proceeds to my associates."

A bonus of 10 euros per day

If the sum of 2.68 million euros will be divided, the employees will not all receive the same amount.

"10 euros per day, for the oldest, that's almost 25,000 euros", explained Jean-Yves Glumineau.

"We have employees who have accompanied me since the takeover for 18 years, others who joined us more recently."

Over the years, the company has grown from 60 to 150 employees: the average is 18,000 euros gross per employee.

A maneuver that is part of a long-term dynamic initiated by Jean-Yves Glumineau.

Every month, the manager of TIV hands over the payroll to his employees.

"What was important to me was to keep the human head in the company", he assures us on our antenna.

"There is an atmosphere, a closeness that we want to maintain with our employees. A simplicity in the exchanges that we have brought to life on a daily basis and which gives an entrepreneurial spirit and a family spirit within the company itself. ."

A great way to thank his collaborators before his big departure, on February 27th.
