Du Yan said that the first is to ensure the scientific and reasonable design of the statistical investigation plan and questionnaire to accurately reflect the preparations for the Beijing Winter Olympics, the promotion of mass ice and snow sports, and the participation of the masses in ice and snow sports.
Du Yan introduced that this survey adopted a stratified random sampling method.
The data was collected through the telephone survey hotline 12340 of the National Bureau of Statistics, covering 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. The survey samples were allocated according to the urban-rural population ratio and the size of the resident population of each region in the seventh national census. .
Ensure that the survey sample is nationally and provincially representative.
The telephone questionnaire was jointly researched and designed by the National Bureau of Statistics and the State Sports General Administration. The main contents include the frequency, purpose and willingness of the masses to participate in ice and snow sports since Beijing successfully bid for the Winter Olympics in 2015, as well as the evaluation and success of the current overall environment of ice and snow sports. Du Yan introduced that the survey was organized by the Social Situation and Public Opinion Survey Center of the National Bureau of Statistics, and jointly implemented the survey with the relevant provincial statistical bureau social sentiment and public opinion survey agencies.

The fourth is to carry out solid data calculation. Based on the data of the seventh national census, the weighted calculation of the number and participation rate of people participating in ice and snow sports by urban and rural areas, age groups and provinces is carried out.
Fifth, strengthen the review of the rationality, logic and consistency of statistical results, and strictly control the quality of data.
