  At present, Mexico is China's second largest trading partner in Latin America, and China is Mexico's second largest trading partner in the world.

According to Chinese statistics, the bilateral trade volume between China and Mexico in 2021 will reach a record high of US$86.6 billion, a year-on-year increase of 41.9%, much higher than the overall growth rate of China's foreign trade in the same period.

In terms of investment, Mexico is an important contracting project market and investment destination for China in Latin America. The cooperation between the two sides in the fields of transportation infrastructure, processing and manufacturing, telecommunications, traditional energy and clean energy is progressing smoothly.

  Gao Feng said that in the next step, China is willing to work with Mexico to strengthen the alignment of development plans, consolidate cooperation in traditional advantageous fields, actively expand cooperation in green development, digital economy, electric vehicles and other emerging industries, promote trade and investment facilitation, and strengthen regional and multilateral cooperation. , to promote common development.
