The local financial markets witnessed a good performance during the sessions of this week, despite their decline during today's session, as the Dubai Financial Market rose by 2.1%, and the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange rose by 1.7%, compared to its closure last Friday, February 11.

And local shares gained 41.37 billion dirhams this week, as the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange gained 38 billion dirhams, and the Dubai Financial Market gained 3.37 billion dirhams during the trading sessions of the week ending today, Friday, February 19.

 In detail, the Dubai Financial Market closed today slightly lower, by 3 points, at the level of 3327 points, with transactions totaling 209 million dirhams.

By closing at this level, the market will have increased by 70 points for this week as a whole, by 2% compared to its closing on last Friday, February 11, 2022.

The market value of the Dubai Financial Market rose from 415.3 billion dirhams to 418 billion dirhams, as the market gained 3.3 billion dirhams.

Today's session witnessed an increase in the shares of 12 companies out of the 29 companies that were traded, while the shares of 13 companies declined, and 4 remained stable.

Shares of "Deyaar Development" decreased by 0.6% at 0.473 dirhams, with transactions of nearly 10 million shares, while "Union Properties" share decreased by 1.4% at 0.277 dirhams, with transactions exceeding 9 million shares.

The "Dubai Financial Market" share closed down by 1.2% at 2.39 dirhams, with transactions exceeding 8 million shares, while the "Dubai Islamic" share rose by 0.3% at 5.91 dirhams, and transactions approached 5 million shares.

The most heavily traded stock was the "Emaar Properties" share, which closed at its previous price of 5.10 dirhams, with nearly 14 million shares traded.

On the other hand, the Abu Dhabi Securities Market Index reversed today's session, Friday, its tendency to decline after its significant gains during the past ten sessions, as it closed down by 0.6% at the level of 9155 points, with transactions worth 1.2 billion dirhams.

By closing at this level, the market would have increased by 157 points for this week as a whole, by 1.7% compared to its closing on last Friday, February 11, 2022.

The market value increased by 38 billion dirhams, as the value of shares rose by (trillion) from 1,643.3 to 1,680.5 dirhams during the sessions of this week.

The shares of 17 companies out of the 49 companies that were traded today, while the shares of 26 companies declined, and 6 remained on the market.

The "Aldar Properties" share closed down by 0.2% at 4,220 dirhams, with transactions of nearly 49 million shares, while the "First Abu Dhabi" share fell by 1% at 20.70 dirhams, with transactions of nearly 12 million shares.

The "Vertiglobe" share decreased by 1.2% at 4.00 dirhams, with transactions exceeding 18 million shares, while the "Multiplay" share closed at its previous price of 1.60 dirhams, with transactions exceeding 14 million shares.
