The Gulfood 2022 exhibition witnessed remarkable competitive manifestations among companies in offering organic and healthy products, driven by the high demand locally and regionally.

"Gulfood 2022 is currently witnessing great competition among food producing companies in the organic and health products sector," said Julliam Viner Morio, General Manager of Lamenduril International Food Company, noting that "these products have witnessed a growing demand during the recent period, both in the Local, regional and global markets, with rates exceeding 40%, which made most companies compete in offering their products.

He added that his company offered milk products made from almond kernels in liquid or (powder) forms, in addition to products designed for children supported by vitamins, or sugar-free products.

In turn, Karim Aladdin, director of regional sales at Eureal International Food Company, said that "health food products witnessed an increase in demand in the UAE and regional markets, with rates exceeding 20%," noting that "these trends occurred in the behavior of consumers after a pandemic ( Corona) which raised the awareness of health food dealers.

He added that his company offers organic or healthy products that are low in fat, pointing out that "the convergence of the prices of healthy products with traditional ones has stimulated a high demand."

For her part, Director of the "Sprot" Food Company, Ozlem Erbas, said that her company has launched healthy food products for children according to standards and nutritional components of minerals and vitamins, whether from grains, nuts and vegetables.

She added that she had noticed, through her work in the UAE markets, the high demand for health products by 40% compared to the pre-pandemic periods.

She stressed that the exhibition is witnessing great competitive manifestations among companies in offering healthy products, especially as companies seek to gain market shares.

In the same context, Mark Neeper, Director of Gulfood 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Center, said that "organic and healthy products are witnessing expanded competitive manifestations between international and local companies during the current session of the exhibition, to distribute their products in local and regional markets."

The Director-General of Dubai Industrial City, Saud Abu Al-Shawareb, said, "Healthy products are one of the most prominent trends in the food industry during the recent period, which was clearly demonstrated through the activities of the (Gulfod 2022) exhibition, or even through the orientations of companies operating in Dubai. Industrial operations, as the demand for health products is witnessing a significant growth compared to the pre-pandemic periods.
