Dubai International Airport records 3.76 million passengers in January 2022

Dubai Civil Aviation Authority data showed that the total number of passengers through Dubai International Airport during last January 2022 reached three million, 766 thousand and 993 passengers, compared to two million and 46 thousand and two passengers in January 2021, with a growth rate of 84%.

According to data obtained by Emirates Today, the volume of air freight through Dubai International Airport reached 174,229 tons in January 2022, compared to 166,430 tons in the same month of 2021, with a growth rate of 4.6%, while the volume of air freight reached Through Al Maktoum Airport, it reached 14,505 tons, compared to 14,589 tons.

Dubai International Airport recorded 27.3 thousand air movements, compared to 3.5 thousand movements for Al Maktoum International Airport last January.

It is noteworthy that Dubai International Airport received 29.11 million passengers during 2021 as a whole, and the number of passengers at the airport increased by 12.4% compared to 25.9 million passengers in 2020.

Dubai International Airport, the busiest in the world, returned to work at its full operational capacity at 100%, after the opening of the last phase of "Concourse A" in Terminal 3, where the return included all stations, and finally rest stops.

The airport regained 99% of the network with the countries of the world, 83% of the destinations, and 117% of the number of airlines that operated their flights through the airport before the “Covid-19” pandemic.
