The union of Samsung Electronics, which is in conflict with the management due to a breakdown in wage negotiations, insisted that the top management engage in direct dialogue.

The joint bargaining group formed by the four labor unions in Samsung Electronics said that the wage negotiations broke down due to the management's insincere attitude, and urged the top management, including Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, to discuss directly with the union representative.

The possibility of a strike for the first time since the founding of Samsung Electronics is increasing as the union announced that if the management did not engage in dialogue, they would vote for and against the dispute and fight in solidarity with the unions of Samsung Group companies.

If the union actually decides to strike, it will be the first strike at Samsung Electronics in 53 years since its foundation in 1969.

Regarding the union's press conference, Samsung Electronics said, "We will continue to talk for the sustainable development of the company and the union."
