Zhangjiakou Chongli District is where most of the snow sports venues of the Winter Olympics are located. The Genting Ski Park, the National Cross-Country Ski Center, the National Biathlon Center, and the National Ski Jumping Center are all located in Chongli.
There are 7 large-scale ski resorts in Chongli District, including Yunding Ski Park, Wanlong Ski Resort, and Duolomeidi Ski Resort, with 177 ski runs at all levels, which are well-received by skiers.
Yan Dong, a Beijing skier who often comes to Chongli for skiing, said: "Chongli has long ski tracks, fast lifts, good closure, and smooth skiing."
"Chongli has undulating mountains and dense forests, with a snowfall of more than 1 meter in winter and a snow storage period of more than 150 days. It is a golden belt for skiing." said Duan Junhui, a member of the party group and deputy director of the Zhangjiakou Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau.
Before the Winter Olympics, Chongli's rich ice and snow resources and high-quality ski resorts had already attracted a large number of skiers and hosted many heavyweight ice and snow events.
Duan Junhui introduced that Chongli has held the 20th China Chongli International Ski Season in a row.
In 2021, Zhangjiakou City will host more than 300 ice and snow events, driving 2.2 million people to participate in ice and snow sports. Chongli Ski Resort will become one of the first 12 national-level ski resorts.
"I believe that after the Winter Olympics, the rich Olympic heritage will push Zhangjiakou's winter tourism industry to a new height and provide tourists with more high-quality tourism products." Duan Junhui said.
Not only professional skiers can find their favorite ski resorts in Zhangjiakou, but there are also many snow sports for beginners and family tourists.
The newly built Kulunnur Ski Resort has opened its doors to welcome guests.
Near noon, the magic carpet of the ski resort was full of tourists wearing ski suits and holding snowboards.
Wang Weijiang specially brought his 8-year-old son to ski from the urban area of Zhangjiakou: "The child has just played for a long time, and he has already fallen in love with this snow field. He said that the snow here is very soft."
Qi Xin, general manager of Kurunnaoer Tourism Resort, told reporters that the snow field here is wide and the slope is not high, which is deeply loved by children.
There is also a snow park of more than 50,000 square meters, equipped with snowmobiles, snow karts and other entertainment facilities, allowing tourists to have fun.
Folk culture is favored
At the beginning of February this year, the ice of Kulunnur Lake in Guyuan County was still 1 meter thick. From a distance, the lake covered with white snow seemed like a vast snow field.
The fisherman smashed open the ice hole, and the big carp jumped on the ice one by one with the fishing net.
"A good natural environment and a thousand-year-old fishing and hunting culture have made the unique charm of Kulunnaoer Lake." Wang Fengjun, director of Guyuan County Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, said that the Kulunnaoer Tourist Resort is a national 4A-level tourist scenic spot, and the winter of Kulunnaoer Lake Fishing is the biggest highlight of winter tourism in Guyuan County, and the fishing and hunting cultural festival held every winter is very popular with tourists.

On the opening night of the Beijing Winter Olympics, a mass cultural gathering was held in the Dajingmen Scenic Spot in the urban area of Zhangjiakou. People singing and dancing at the foot of the quaint Great Wall expressed their joy in welcoming the Winter Olympics.
According to reports, Zhangjiakou has 1,804.846 kilometers of relics of the Great Wall of various generations and 2,273 beacon towers, involving 16 counties including Chicheng County, Guyuan County, and Huailai County.
The reporter boarded the Jiming Station Tower in Huailai County, and the square city pool and stone slab street of the ancient station can be seen at a glance. This is the best-preserved and largest post office complex in China.
Jimingyi has opened a post office stamp exhibition hall with the theme of post station culture, showing the history of stamps for a hundred years. There is also a slow delivery post office here, where tourists can send blessings to themselves and their families in the future.

With the 'Dongfeng' of the Winter Olympics, Huailai, an ancient production area with a thousand-year history of grape planting, has more opportunities to show itself." According to Cui Yu, there are 41 wine processing enterprises in Huailai County, with a wine production capacity of 150,000 tons and a total output value of the grape industry of 2 billion yuan.

Taking the Winter Olympics as an opportunity, Huailai will actively host domestic and foreign wine summits, forums and activities, and create a destination for international wine summits.
