The author of the appeal noted that in the context of the ongoing pandemic, minimizing contacts between citizens remains one of the main mechanisms to reduce the incidence of COVID-19.

A great contribution to solving this problem is made by Internet resources that allow citizens to make remote purchases, as well as Internet banking systems that allow millions of citizens to transfer money to relatives and friends, pay for housing rent remotely.

At the same time, as Orlov noted, a number of banks still charge fees for money transfers that are made within the bank between its individual clients.

This forces citizens to either lose personal funds in online transfers or make decisions to transfer cash, he added.

“In this regard, I ask you to evaluate the feasibility of introducing changes to federal legislation and other regulatory legal acts in terms of introducing a ban on banks to charge a fee for money transfers between individuals if these transactions are made in the system of one bank between its clients,” it says. in the text of the appeal.

Earlier it became known that Russian banks will strengthen control over clients' money transactions.
