The UAE and Israel sign a memorandum of understanding to enhance tourism and economic cooperation

 The UAE and the State of Israel signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening tourism cooperation between the two countries and supporting bilateral relations and economic cooperation.

The memorandum was signed on the part of the state by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises, Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council, and from the Israeli side, His Excellency Yoel Razvozov, the Israeli Minister of Tourism, who is visiting the country in the framework of developing economic cooperation between the two countries.

On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Al Falasi said: "The memorandum of understanding comes in light of the Abrahamic Peace Agreement and in the context of strengthening economic relations and partnerships between the two countries in promising sectors and upgrading them to broader levels. We will work to achieve a stronger link in this vital sector, which represents a major bridge for the development of relations." economy between the two countries.

His Excellency stressed that the UAE, under the directives of its wise leadership, has become one of the major capitals and leading tourist destinations in the region and the world, as it has succeeded in developing its tourism services and products to distinct levels, and has a tourism system that includes all categories and patterns of tourism, including: business tourism, shopping tourism, and tourism Conferences, adventure tourism, etc.

For his part, Yoel Razvozov said: "The memorandum of understanding represents an important historical step in our relations with the UAE. We call on all Gulf countries to follow suit to build together a new regional reality based on prosperity, security and stability for our peoples, through the establishment of meaningful relations that will lead to to significant economic benefits for our markets and tourism industries.”

His Excellency thanked the joint working teams that worked on drafting this memorandum from the Emirati and Israeli sides.

Under the memorandum of understanding, the two sides will adopt measures to encourage and develop tourism between the two countries, enhance cooperation between their tourism institutions in both the public and private sectors, and facilitate the exchange of information related to tourism and travel in the two countries, including planned tourism events. The two sides encourage cooperation based on knowledge exchange in tourism. Of special interest, including adventure tourism, business tourism, sustainable tourism, and wellness tourism.
