"The mass production of Zhongsheng's silicone shells, the last batch was delivered on January 22, and a total of about 50,000 pieces were produced." Li Yingui said that thanks to the stimulation of orders for the Winter Olympics, last year, Zhongsheng's silicone orders volume A year-on-year increase of 70%.
According to reports, due to the increasing orders, Zhongsheng Silicone has accelerated the development of molds.
"For several days, orders have been increasing, and about 400,000 orders will be completed in March. In order to speed up the progress, the company is currently preparing to develop 80 sets of molds. These molds will be in place around February 26. At that time, the daily production volume will be reduced from the original. 800 pieces, and it has grown to more than 30,000 pieces." Li Yingui introduced, "I didn't expect 'Bingdundun' to be so popular. When we received the order for the Winter Olympics, we only opened two molds, and the daily output was 800 pieces. The development of the mold is now being stepped up.”
Li Yingui expressed that he is not worried about the question of whether there is still a market for "Bingdundun" after the Winter Olympics after so much money has been invested in the development of molds: "The order has not yet been fully counted, and it changes every day, so it will not Worry about developing molds and no orders."
Five or six minutes to make a "ice dimple" shell
In the Zhongsheng Silicone Factory, two machines that produce the shell of "Bingdundun" are running non-stop.
I saw that the staff placed the silicone on the mold in an orderly manner and pushed it in. After about five or six minutes, a "Bingdundun" shell was ready.
"This is silicone, because the shape is different, so it needs to be placed in several positions, and then pushed to suppress." The staff responsible for placing the silicone said.
After the shell is finished, a staff member randomly checks the finished product.
"After it's done, we have to spot check whether it is qualified. Every place must be carefully checked. Only qualified shells can leave the factory."
The reporter picked up a "Bingdundun" shell that had just been made and still had residual warmth at the scene. It was quite textured. Holding it and closing his eyes, he seemed to have a "Bingdundun" in his hand.
The reporter saw at the scene that one set of molds can produce two shells at the same time. In one day, one set of molds can produce 400 pieces, and two sets of molds can produce 800 pieces.
As orders continue to grow, demand can only be met by adding more molds.
Li Yingui said that the latest batch of materials also arrived in two days, and employees have been arranged to rush to make them.
On February 4, the company received an order of 200,000 pieces. Considering that the company only has two molds and its production capacity is limited, it only agreed to accept orders of 30,000 pieces.
"It's really hot." Li Yingui said that from February 7 to now, they have been communicating with customers repeatedly and monitoring market demand in real time, and finally decided to increase the number of orders from 30,000 to 400,000.
Li Yingui said that 400,000 orders are expected to be completed before March 10. "Please don't worry, the shells produced on that day will be shipped one after another, and the 'Bingdundun' everyone wants is on the way."
Liu Ming, project manager of Zhongsheng Silicone Rubber Products Co., Ltd., said that the biggest difficulty in making the mold is that there is an ice ribbon inside, and the color of the line needs to be printed.
"It is difficult to do this thing, but I feel that I have made a product for the Winter Olympics and I am very proud to be able to contribute to the country."
