  A reporter from the Yangcheng Evening News found that since 2015, the State Council has approved the establishment of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones in five batches, and a total of 13 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong have been approved for establishment.

Among them, in 2016, Guangzhou and Shenzhen comprehensive test areas were approved for establishment in the second batch, Zhuhai and Dongguan were approved for establishment in the third batch in 2018, and Shantou and Foshan were approved for establishment in the fourth batch in 2019. 7 cities including Meizhou, Huizhou, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhanjiang, Maoming and Zhaoqing were approved for establishment in the fifth batch in 2020.

  Among the 27 cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones approved this time, Guangdong has the largest number (8), involving Shaoguan City, Shanwei City, Heyuan City, Yangjiang City, Qingyuan City, Chaozhou City, Jieyang City, Yunfu City City and other 8 cities.

From the perspective of regional distribution, the newly added cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test areas are mainly located in the eastern, western and northern regions of Guangdong.

So far, 21 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong Province have achieved full coverage of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test areas, ranking first in the country in total.
