According to the data, in December 2021, 317.9 billion yuan of local government bonds were issued nationwide; from January to December, a total of 7,489.8 billion yuan of local government bonds were issued nationwide.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Finance, in December 2021, 113.6 billion yuan of new bonds were issued nationwide, including 12.5 billion yuan of general bonds and 101.1 billion yuan of special bonds.
204.3 billion yuan of refinancing bonds were issued nationwide, including 24.2 billion yuan of general bonds and 180.1 billion yuan of special bonds.
In total, 317.9 billion yuan of local government bonds were issued nationwide, including 36.7 billion yuan of general bonds and 281.2 billion yuan of special bonds.
From January to December 2021, 4,370.9 billion yuan of new bonds will be issued nationwide, including 786.5 billion yuan of general bonds and 3,584.4 billion yuan of special bonds.
3,118.9 billion yuan of refinancing bonds were issued nationwide, including 1,780.4 billion yuan of general bonds and 1,338.5 billion yuan of special bonds.
In total, 7,489.8 billion yuan of local government bonds were issued nationwide, including 2,566.9 billion yuan of general bonds and 4,922.9 billion yuan of special bonds.
In terms of repayment of principal and interest, from January to December 2021, local government bonds will repay 2,668.5 billion yuan of principal due to maturity, of which 2,301.9 billion yuan will be repaid by issuing refinancing bonds, and 366.6 billion yuan will be repaid by arranging fiscal funds.
The principal repayment was 31.6 billion yuan due in December.
From January to December 2021, local government bonds will pay 928 billion yuan in interest.
Among them, the interest paid on local government bonds in December was 46.2 billion yuan.
According to the Ministry of Finance, upon deliberation and approval at the fourth meeting of the 13th National People's Congress, the national local government debt limit in 2021 will be 33277.43 billion yuan, of which the general debt limit is 15108.922 billion yuan and the special debt limit is 18168.508 billion yuan.
As of the end of December 2021, the national debt balance of local governments was 30.47 trillion yuan, which was controlled within the limit approved by the National People's Congress.
Among them, general debt was 13770.9 billion yuan, special debt was 16699.1 billion yuan; government bonds were 30307.8 billion yuan, and the stock government debt in the form of non-government bonds was 162.2 billion yuan.
As of the end of December 2021, the average remaining term of local government bonds was 7.8 years, including 6.3 years for general bonds and 9.0 years for special bonds; the average interest rate was 3.51%, of which general bonds were 3.51% and special bonds were 3.51%.
