While we've been waiting for it for several years already and have been delayed following the mega-merger that gave birth to the new automobile group Stellantis, the Tonale SUV has finally been revealed.

Smaller than the Stelvio, it is very close to the concept car presented in Geneva in 2019 and that's good!

Based on the platform of the Jeep Compass, the Italian is 4.53 m long and has the aesthetic attributes of the brand at Biscione.

Inside, the same treatment with meter caps reminiscent of 1960s models such as the Giulia.

These are embedded in a 12.3-inch screen, supported by a 10.25-inch central unit.

Massive electrification and resistant diesel

During the press conference, no 100% electric proposal was cited.

In essence, a new 1.5 liter block of 130 hp opens the ball, followed by a version of 160 hp.

Both are equipped with a light hybridization 48V.

In diesel, it is a 1.6 liter of 130 hp which is resisting.

At the top of the range, the Q4 plug-in hybrid version has 275 hp and 4-wheel drive.

According to Alfa Romeo, it would be able to travel 60 to 80 km in 100% electric mode.

Two finishes (Super and Ti) are on the program, which can be enhanced with two additional packs: Sprint and Veloce.

The first deliveries of the Tonale will take place during the month of June.
