The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced the discovery of natural gas resources in the offshore area off the coast of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, estimated between 1.5 and 2 trillion standard cubic feet of raw gas, according to the initial results obtained from the first exploration well in the concession area. For his part, Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC's Exploration, Development and Production Department, Yasser Saeed Al Mazrouei, said that these positive results obtained by the Italian Energy Eni and the Thai Public Exploration and Production PTT, come in the wake of the recent announcement of a discovery.
