China News Agency, Yantai, January 23 (Reporter Wang Jiaoni) The reporter learned from Shandong Port Yantai Port on the 23rd that the port will complete a cargo throughput of 367 million tons in 2021, an increase of 8.8% year-on-year. Among them, the China-Africa two-way logistics channel has ushered in a high speed development period.

In recent years, Yantai Port has made great efforts to build a two-way logistics channel between China and Africa, building a whole logistics chain of bauxite from Guinea mines in Africa to end users in China, and transporting construction machinery, equipment, materials, etc.

Yantai Port will complete a bauxite throughput of 115 million tons in 2021, leading China's coastal ports.

At the same time, China-Africa general cargo shipments exceeded one million tons, a year-on-year increase of 90.4%.

Relying on this China-Africa logistics channel, Yantai Port has been the No. 1 port for importing bauxite in the world and the No. 1 port for China's trade with Africa for many years.

The port is also actively creating a "Made in China" channel to the sea by deeply expanding the market for general cargo liner routes that radiate to 18 ports along the coast of West Africa.

At present, the China-Africa general cargo liner of Yantai Port has a stable schedule, sufficient transportation capacity, and a wide variety of goods. The shipping frequency of the route business has reached an average of 6 ships per month.

The service brand of "China-Africa Maritime Express" has been continuously polished and has become a new growth point on the "Belt and Road", accumulating energy for China-Africa economic and trade exchanges.

Yantai was opened as a port in 1861. With the development of the city, Yantai Port has developed from a small port with a throughput of 47,000 tons in the early days of the founding of New China to a modern comprehensive port, ranking among the top ten coastal ports in China.
