China News Agency, Liuzhou, January 22 (Lin Xin) From street snacks to the top e-commerce, Guangxi Liuzhou snail noodles have become popular in recent years with their unique "stinky" smell, and have grown to 50 billion yuan (RMB, the same below) )industry.

Snacks from all over China also come to Liuzhou to "learn lessons", hoping to get a share of the "Internet celebrity snack" industry.

"Lanzhou Ramen, Shaxian Snacks, Guilin Rice Noodles and other related industries have come to Liuzhou to inspect and learn the development experience of the snail noodles industry. Representatives of Guilin have visited several times." Jia Jiangong, deputy director of the Liuzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, told a reporter from China News Agency.

Data provided by the Liuzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce in Guangxi shows that in 2021, the sales revenue of the entire Liuzhou snail powder industry chain will reach 50.16 billion yuan, of which the sales revenue of Liuzhou snail powder in bags will reach 15.197 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 38.23%.

Once upon a time, snail noodles were just a street snack in Liuzhou.

It only took a few years from the first package of prepackaged snail noodles to the sales revenue of more than 50 billion yuan.

Why is the snail powder so red?

Jia Jiangong said that this is due to the use of industrialized thinking to plan the development of "this bowl of noodles".

In 2014, merchants developed bagged snail noodles that are convenient for circulation and instant food, and triggered the supply-side structural reform of the market for "noodles".

The bagged snail noodles took the east wind of "Internet +" and entered thousands of households.

At the same time, the Liuzhou Municipal Government "escorted" the development of the snail powder industry, formulated snail powder standards, applied for geographical indication products, established snail powder testing centers, increased quality control, and strengthened brand protection.

Today, a small bowl of rice noodles has been linked to the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries.

Liuzhou has used snail noodles to build a whole industry chain, creating more than 300,000 jobs. The pre-packaged snail noodles are exported to more than 20 countries and regions.

Chongqing noodles, which is also a local Chinese food, also took snail noodles as a target and launched a pursuit.

Last year, the Chongqing government said that it would make every effort to create a regional business card with "Chongqing Xiaomian" as its IP, so that the 400-year-old Chongqing Xiaomian would go out of the mountain city and strive to become an Internet celebrity food like Liuzhou snail noodles.

Other rice noodle industries in Guangxi have also begun to plan their layout.

Guilin Rice Noodles implements local standards such as rice noodle processing regulations, store service specifications, and grade assessment to create a tens of billions of clusters of industries; Nanning City has accelerated the application for registration of the "Nanning Old Friends Noodles" geographical indication trademark, and actively integrated into Guangxi's advantageous and characteristic rice noodle industry; Yulin City has passed Implement a standard system, a geographical indication trademark, a series of books, a beef brisket noodle industrial park, an association and other beef brisket noodle "five one" projects, and strive to build local specialty snacks into a 10-billion-dollar industry.

In 2021, the General Office of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region also issued the "Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Promotion of the High-Quality Development of Liuzhou Snail Noodles and Guangxi's Advantageous and Characteristic Rice Noodles Industry", proposing to use the concept of industrialization to plan and develop the whole industry chain of Guangxi's advantageous and characteristic rice noodles, and strive to realize the whole industry chain of rice noodles Sales revenue exceeds 100 billion yuan, and guide enterprises to develop overseas markets.
