To be competitive in a market where electrification is gaining ground, the Jeep Compass and Renegade are now available in a mild hybrid version.

The system consists of a 4-cylinder 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine delivering 130 hp and 240 Nm of torque, a new 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and a 20 hp 48V integrated electric motor.

Big difference compared to most 48V light hybridizations, that of Jeep claims enough torque to really allow 100% electric driving phases at start-up, at low speed or at stabilized speed.

Thanks to this, both Jeeps offer up to 15% lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions than previous petrol models.

Prices start at €29,950 for the Renegade and €36,950 for the Compass.
