Compared with the same period of the previous year, except for Jiangsu, Tibet, Shaanxi, and Qinghai, sales in other provinces increased.
Affected by factors such as the low base for the same period caused by the new crown pneumonia epidemic and the European Cup in 2021, the cumulative sales of lottery tickets across the country have maintained rapid growth in general.
With the gradual elimination of the low base during the same period, the structure of some lottery products has been continuously adjusted and optimized, and individual lottery games with strong gaming properties have been withdrawn from the market.

In December 2021, a total of 32.257 billion yuan of lottery tickets were sold nationwide, a year-on-year decrease of 4.255 billion yuan or 11.7%.
Among them, the sales of welfare lottery institutions were 14.234 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.036 billion yuan or 6.8%; the sales of sports lottery institutions was 18.023 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.219 billion yuan or 15.2%.
From January to December 2021, a total of 373.285 billion yuan of lottery tickets were sold nationwide, an increase of 39.335 billion yuan or 11.8% year-on-year.
Among them, the sales of welfare lottery institutions were 142.255 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.233 billion yuan or 1.5%; the sales of sports lottery institutions were 231.030 billion yuan, an increase of 41.568 billion yuan or 21.9% year-on-year.
