  According to data from the Tourism Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the total global tourism revenue in 2020 will drop by about 50.9% year-on-year.

Tens of thousands of small and medium-sized travel agencies have closed down, and established industry giants such as Heping International Travel are also unable to escape the "epidemic" disaster. They can only seek transformation.

  The company of foreign-related tour guide Xiaoyu is located on Nanjing West Road, Shanghai. Before the epidemic, the company mainly focused on "hotel groups" and "student groups". Affected by the epidemic, "student groups" were greatly reduced, and "hotel groups" almost completely disappeared.

  2021年底,小鱼所在的公司出现了离职潮。“有的部门直接解散了,我们这一层楼空了一半。”

  据世界旅游业理事会WTTC数据显示,2020年,全球旅游业消失了6200万个工作岗位,旅游、酒店、票务、航司等行业都出现了离职潮。

  Brian告诉红星资本局,受新冠疫情影响,公司中国区的十名员工全部离职,目前仅剩他和另外一名合伙人支撑着中国区六大城市的旅游业务以及商品的选品工作。疫情前他们在每个城市有10至20名兼职导游,现在仅剩两三个,还都是兼职的。

  在采访过程中,红星资本局了解到,因为英语听说读写能力强,涉外导游再就业的空间较中文导游更为宽广。一些人去从事与老本行有关联的工作,比如英语教培和博物馆讲解业;一些则与老本行无关,比如卖茶叶、卖房、在星巴克做全职等。

  中国旅行社协会导游专业委员会发布的调研报告《疫情下导游生存状态与职业发展需求》显示,从事导游工作的被调查群体,目前有80%无业务,10.6%疫情期间从事兼职,8.4%已经转行或者计划转行。
