Saudi Arabia turns 3 historic palaces into ultra-luxury hotels

Today, Thursday, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz announced the launch of a "Boutique Group", which aims to develop, manage and operate a series of famous historical and cultural palaces in the Kingdom and turn them into ultra-luxury boutique hotels, to revive the national heritage vibrant with the authentic culture of the Kingdom, and provide An exceptional and unique hospitality experience.

According to a statement by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, today, this comes in cooperation with the private sector. The first phase of the project aims to develop three historical destinations, namely the Al Hamra Palace in Jeddah, which will include 77 rooms, including 33 luxury suites and 44 luxury villas.

The palace was built in 1973 to be the home of the late King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and later turned into a guesthouse.

And also the Tuwaiq Palace in Riyadh, which will include 96 rooms, including 40 luxury suites and 56 luxury villas.

The palace is located in the Diplomatic Quarter, west of Riyadh, and was built about 40 years ago, to host the most important seminars, art and cultural exhibitions and official receptions in the capital.

The palace contains a guest house consisting of three floors, comprising four suites and 25 rooms overlooking Wadi Hanifa, and designated for guests. It also includes a large number of halls and halls.

The third is the Red Palace in Riyadh, which will contain 71 rooms including 46 luxury suites and 25 luxury guestrooms.

The Red Palace, whose name derives from its reddish exterior color, was built in 1942 as a residence for the late Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz and his family, and it is the first seat of the Council of Ministers since its establishment until 1988.

It includes 16 suites and rooms equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans, and it works on a day lighting system, based on the presence of four open square skylights that allow sunlight to enter the palace, and it is surrounded by balconies overlooking the gardens distributed in the front of the palace and the backyard.

The "Boutique Group" will blend the authenticity of the cultural and heritage values ​​of the Kingdom with the modern lifestyle, to provide an exclusive hospitality experience that enriches the ultra-luxury hospitality sector in the Kingdom, thus contributing to the development of the local economy.

The company will provide many prestigious options for the finest international restaurants, provide an atmosphere for relaxation in the latest recreation centers, and other exclusive and special services for each guest.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the Governor of the Public Investment Fund, Yasser Al-Rumayyan, as saying that the launch of the "Boutique Group" by the Saudi Crown Prince comes as an affirmation of the role of the Public Investment Fund in developing promising sectors in the Kingdom, and contributing to achieving the fund's goals to diversify the Saudi economy.

He added that the launch of the group will contribute to diversifying tourism opportunities in the Saudi market, and enhance the Kingdom's position regionally and internationally as a leading tourism and cultural destination in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's
